THE CB PHENOMENON OF SOCIETY: THE NEW TAM TAM

As for the last category, we would wish that the reading of this book permits him to discover the multiple uses and passions that can generate the CB and, why not, gives him desire to experiment it to its tower.

But why to interest itself/themselves to the CB will ask me you? We are convinced that she/it remains one of the rare leisures encouraging the communication between people, while allowing a way back to the primitive tribe: the one where everybody speaks himself and takes conscience of its adherence to the human community. She/it has the advantage besides in these times of crisis to be accessible to all stock market.

On time where one speaks so many the world networks of communication, where the earth would have become a gigantic global village, it is not necessary to forget networks of proximity that, alone, maintain some convivial relations between people. CHAPTER 2
HISTORY OF THE CITIZEN BAND

Beginnings of the CB French

The showbiz and the world of medias also infatuate themselves of this new means of communication: Coluche, Gainsbourg, Renaud, Jean Claude Bouret, Jean Pierre Foucault, Herbert Leonardo, Gérard Lenormand.... get to modulate. The famous collection of charm " worldly " Brigade publishes " A pink channel for cibisteses ", while Dalida sings " Confidence on the Frequency ". For the first time of its history the ministry of Telecommunications suspended for three months approvals of two importers, not allowing them anymore to sell their stations.

The conviviality:

CONTESTSS AND EXPEDITIONS

Here are two CBS activities again directly inherited of the radio amateurism.

THE CONTEST

The contest is in fact a contest where the better wins. He/it exists defer types of contests, mainly owed to the number of operators.

A contest mono operator is achieved, as its name indicates him, by one alone no one that is going to give out, to confirm answers and to fill the notebook of log at the same time. He/it has in general right that at 36 hours of activity on the 48 hours that hard the contest. Several operators can take turns on the same station during 48 hours without interruption, leaves of log being filled by an inactive operator.

Two years later, they are about ten to meet every week waving their last " QSLS ", palming off to himself some technical hoses, and organizing some DXpéditionses when that come back the beautiful days. They are content for the meantime with to go to Belgium or in Bay of Sum, but they hope to convince a sponsor to finance a journey in the Alps.

As a lot of cibisteses, Vincent dreams to have the time to pass its license of radio amateur to have access again more to the material perfected. He/it would like to very also create its free radio for r to express all that he/it has to say. When he/it has a dream, he/it goes until the tip and that would not astonish me that the department of the North hears to speak soon of it.

HUBERT MONTAILLOUX THE GLOBE to TROT WAVES
