CAT ON TUESDAY
I am Tigger!
One day, I arrived at this home and decided to stay. I was a cute kitty, so alone, alone in the world. The cats’ family who was living here didn’t want to play with me. They were looking at me as the stranger who wanted to break their univers, their harmony.
But the humans were looking at me and called me and gave me some food.
I decided to stay and since this day I never go away just in front of the home and sometimes in if I decide it.
The humans wanted a name for me and after a survey on COT with other cats’ owners all around the world, decided to call me Tigger.
Now I am the happiest cat it can be. I have a simple and quiet life, in countryside on a hill.

I adore playing with Mrs Mystic, the mother of the three other cats but she never wants and scoldes me!
But now I can say I have been accepted by all other cats and they even sometimes give me some caress.

CAT ON TUESDAY

For this COT, my best friend, so calin, Patouf and me we’d like to present you, if you don’t know him still, the famous Théophile Alexandre Steinlen (1858-1923) printmaker, who loved particulary cats! He thought cats were the incarnation of the desire and of a life without limits. He made many drawings, lithographs, posters and paintings representing cats after he was used to look at them in Montmartre.

In Paris, Steinlen was befriended by the painter Adolphe Willette who introduced him the artistic crowd at Le Chat Noir that led to his commissions to do poster art for the cabaret owner/entertainer, Aristide Bruant and other commercial enterprises.

Steinlen was the specialist of cats; he described them in all their fantasy, as players, sleepers or angry!

The majority of his art continued to explore the life of the poor and humble. Known as “the Millet of the Streets”, Steinlen’s influence was vast. Among other artists both Toulouse-Lautrec and the young Picasso paid direct homage to his art.
Oh!!! It is now 00:57AM! We must go to sleep now because we must wake up at 6 o’clock!
Happy COT! And see us later in the evening!
