Stephen King’s cats
Stephan King, famous author of fantastic novels uses often surnaturel animals in his stories. Sometimes cats can be the principal characters where they are more heros than monsters. The author has a good sens of observation and the cats and their reactions are so realistic that they become really frightening.
In Cat’s eyes this is a cat which makes the lien between the different parts of the full lengh film. The cat is seen as positive power wich wants to save a little girl after she was appeared to him calling for help. After several adventures with unpleasing characters, the cat and the child meet themselves but the animal is persecuted by the mother of the child. The real probleme in fact is a bad goblin living behind a plinth. At the end the cat kills the goblin and saves the little girl.
In another film, Tales from the dark side, based on another novels’ book of King, the cat put humans under its influence. The story, Cat from Hell is this of Drogan a medecin maker who uses thousands of cats in his laboratory. Persecuted by a stray felin, he believes this one wants to kill him. Dragon employes a killer to kill the cat but the felin takes possesion of the body of the man and kill him and even Drogan. The productors were worried because the felins’ lovers could find this cat very bad when a big part of the action is seen through the cat’s eyes. But in fact, with contrast, the humen acts look more frightened.
In the film, Sleepwalkers, a cat is the star. It’s a tale about a mother and her son. These two characters are in the same time felin, reptile and humans. Domestic cats and a cat called Clovis are the ennemies of these monster creatures. When they capture young virgins to satisfy their metabolism, cats of the neighbourhood with Clovis as guide have a meeting in front of their house and win the battle against them.

Sailor cats !

Sailors have often superstitious temper. They like to have cats aboard, wich will bring them happiness during the sail – and will catch the rats in the ship. Cats are nice friends, players and affectionate even if they don’t like water generally, they seem well adapted aboard. Implantation of cats through the world is the consequence of the affinity between sailors and feline .This affinity is dated since Ancient Egypt. They had an important roll and were respected as members on the boat.Sailors cruised during months, years through the sea. They elaborated their own religion, a melting of pratical feelings and heresy. Church convicted cats “ Satan’s disciple ”. But sailors had too much good feelings and didn’t hear this sentence.Sailors thought cats brought luck, they had a power and averted bad weather. In that feeling, the sailors’ women kept a cat at home to ward off the sea tragedy. If a cat was coming near a sailor on the bridge it was a sign of chance. But if it retourned half of the way it was a bad sign. They thought cats could create a storm with their tail. The badest thing to do was to throw a cat in the sea. The consequence was a terrible storm and nine years of bad luck ;In reality cats are extremely sensible when the weather changes. And a variation of the atmospheric pressure can makes they become nervous.Through the time, commerce and war, wich never stopped and diveded , make cats were estimated and they did long cruise and many rats’ dinners.
Marianne’s kitty, (friend of my daughter Mélissa), presented you this report about the Sailors’ Cats!

CAT ON TUESDAY
In the afternoon when the little shower stopped, I went out and saw…une statue in my garden.
After a time, watching in the garden from the first floor, the statue Pedro was still at the same place. I knew we were an artist’s family.
Looking on the right side my vision stopped on an other statue in front of the garage. The statue “Tigger” was looking at me!
While my friend Patouf did a little walk through plants.
And all that under the presence of black clothes!
