Carnival at school on friday!

I just come back from school to post this diaporama about the musical instruments pupils made for the carnaval wich takes place on friday.

I visited three other classes too so that you can have an idea about what takes place in France in publicschools wich receive children at the age of 3 years old.

Since the economical crise,  recupery materiels have been never so much  used and I find the creations  nicer even if we buy  no more the materiels!

It was raining cats and dogs today

In south, near Marseille, the rain is rare but very violent during a short time. When I arrived this morning at school, I couldn’t park my car near the school but in the center of Ollioules. Then I run under the rain because I haven’t an umbrella. (The only times I bought one, five minutes after it was broken cause the wind!) This time there was no wind just a violent rain!!! When I arrived at school I was completly wet. And what I learnt? The old building’s roof of the school had a big problem and the ceiling was fallen during the night on desks and on the kids’ beds of a class.

I was hearing these bad news when I saw a torrent of water on the steps in the yard!

The director decided to close the school for the morning and we began to move the class who had the problem in the school’s library.

The teacher of this class was very sad! All the job she did for her classroom since the begining of the schoolyear was distroyed!

The Mayor of Ollioules visited us to see the disaster and planed all the work wich must be done now to reapar the roof and the ceiling. This afternoon I had only four pupils and we prepared La semaine nationale du goût , the national taste’s week, wich begins monday! Here you can see this event last schoolyear.

We’ll do a job with kids about sweeties and salt, acid and bitter.

They will cook. In my class a soup with different vegetables.

We’ll see the aromatic plants too and they will prepare some tisanes with.

First day of school

We were so exciting waiting our little pupils at school, yesterday.

Monday, I decided to change all the organization of my classroom.

I couldn’t support the old one wich was the same since 2004.

My desk wich was at the left side is now at the right one and all changed for the dolls’ bedroom, the dolls’kitchen , the garage, the alimentation shop, the library…

Finally, I was very satisfied of the result and people who came in my classroom found this new organization very nice!

And the big moment arrived! They were behind the door , their little bag in the back, with mom and dad more anxious than their kids!

But it is their second year of school because in France they begin school at 3 even at 2 sometimes when it is possible. They were very glad to find again school with a classroom full of toys  just for them and of course so glad to see their schoolfriends and the yard with the big colored train!

They are 30 of 4 years old. But some aren’t still 4 because their anniversary will at the end of the year.

I can assure you that the teachers did a big big work of socialisation with them last year!!! The 28 (it felt two kids of my list) were playing everywhere in the classroom. Very nice. This is a big show!  They were discovering the place. A time after I typed in my hands and I said: “Now we must store all the toys!”One said:”Why?”

_”Because if you want to  go playing in the schoolyard, you have to store the toys wich you played!”

And  10 minutes after all was stored with our help of course!

I asked them to come on the banches and i told them two animated albums with different animals in the jungle. they were opening big eyes watching at the animals wich were moving in the book!

And I asked them questions about these animals. They asked to answeer  with their finger!

Good, good! They told me it was their teacher who learned them that last year! and they were very proud!

So! They received good bases and now I must continue the job. Not easy with 30 but I do the best for them because they are very cute! (for the instance, ha ha!)

It is possible somedays I won’t blogging! You can understand why! It depends in fact of our energy and form! My Chakra Creature will help me to take the necessary hindsight after such journey!

I enjoy to discover the first name parents give to their kids. This year, I notice all old first names we didn’t use to hear like Serge, Léonard, Stéphane, François, Rose or first names I never hear about like Malloy. and ô surprise!  a lot of little Matheo, Matéo, Mattéo… with different ways to write…It will a pleasure for me … I am sure I will have some problems with that!

Finally, the kids and I we were tired after this first journey but very happy in the same time! Now a lot of work for me : planning, organization, and find the ideas to create nice school projects! And for the kids an healthy life to be in form at 8.20 in front of the classroom each morning!
