Yesterday we fested the birthday of Pierre’s mother. 88 years old!
It was a nice gathering on her balcony with Pierre’s brother and sister!
We were admiring the view on the town and hills around, speaking about our life, our children and jobs…looking the old family’s photos, black and white and specially those when Pierre was living in north Africa in Algeria where the family staid to 1966 after the independance.
It was a very very nice moment! (click on the pictures to enlarge)
Here a portrait of my mother in law, a painter did when they were living in Algeria.
A beautiful clumb she received and you can see behind and around memories of her life in Africa. (She staid around 20 years between Marocco and Algeria)
As you can see on the picture she is so glad with her family around.
We love all the point of view from the balcony.
Do you recognize my Pierre on the picture?
Mamie Marguerite, Susie (my sister in law) and me.
And Mélissa with her two cousins, Manu and Lou!!!
Aren’t they adorable!!!
Love these moments and then I think to my other daughter Anaïs who lives actually in Finland as an Au pair in a wonderful family! We spoke about her at the gathering where everyone wanted news of her and we explained how she was glad to be in North Europe knowing another culture, landscapes and so so nice people.
So I will end with big big hugs to Anaïs Finnish family, big big hugs to my usual readers and a big big kiss to my daughter Anaïs!!!

Yesterday night, I stayed finally at home and didn’t go the the Fête de la musique because I didn’t have the courage to drive to the beach and be in trafficjam and after in the full crowd! I just go there at 2 o’ clock in the night to catch Mélissa, her friends and Anaïs who was working in a restaurant.
This morning, I visited Pierre’s Garden and see what I found:
Courgettes and courgettes’ flowers, wich I will cook for the lunch!
And this afternoon, I will stay at home to finish the pupils evaluations and papers I really must do! after that I will free to visit you all dear friends!
Wish you a beautiful sunday and week!

The nature at this time offers the best for our eyes and our hapiness! Many people haven’t any look at these flowers because they are wild, independant and grow up everywhere. but I can’t imagine the landscape without them.
When you know they do the best they can, alone, to be stars in countrysides and along the roads.
Le genêt or broom! Fabulous shrubs with yellow flowers!
Le lila d’Espagne or the red Valerian
A mix of poppies and thistles.
and for the end a fresh paint of Monet
Poppies Blooming by Claude Monet, 1873, Musée d’Orsay, Paris.
