When Anaïs and Kalle were at home, we did a nice trip, took the cable car and walked at the top of the little mountain, le Mont Faron wich overlooks the town of Toulon.
Wikipedia:
“Mont Faron is a mountain overlooking the city and roadstead of Toulon, France. It is 584m high. At its peak is a memorial dedicated to the 1944 Allied landings in Provence (Operation Dragoon) , and to the liberation of Toulon.
The top can be reached either by a cable car from Toulon, or by a steep and narrow road which ascends from the west side and descends on the east side. The road is one of the most challenging stages of the annual Paris-Nice and Tour Méditerranéen bicycle races.”
Of course we were all frightened of taking the cable car. All, perhaps no. I think Kalle wasn’t because he looked always so relax.
Here you can know more about the Mount Faron!
the point of view since the cabin is marvelous and more on the top when you arrive.
Here are several photos Anaïs took:
The white limestone Mont Faron
It was a marvelous day, very sunny. We ate our sandwiches at the top, after a walk through the typical Provence vegetation.
And then again the cable car!
Don’t know if Anaïs and Kalle will have a new experience in the Mount Faron cable car when they will come back in Juli!
