Plan Belgium
Plan Belgium is an independent Belgian NGO, member of the international Plan Federation with the mission to improve the quality of life of children in developing countries. Plan seeks to achieve this goal through development projects aiming to provide: a good start in life, quality education, protection against violence and relief in emergencies. Adopting a right’s based approach, Plan Belgium seeks to promote and realize the rights of the child as defined by the International Convention on the Rights of the Child. In practice Plan aims to achieve this through the child-centred community development approach; advocacy towards Belgian government and public to increase support for international cooperation based on child rights. This contributes to public support and institutional change in the Belgian development cooperation.

Plan Belgium is an independent NGO, a member of the Coalition of Plan International which support the Coalition’s activities in 69 countries including 51 of the poorest in Africa, Asia and Latin America since 1983, and works directly in 8 partner countries in West Africa, South East Asia and South America. Plan Belgium acts with and for the South's most vulnerable children and their communities in the fight against poverty, injustice and inequality. In Belgium, the focus is on fundraising, education of the general public, and promoting children's rights in the education system, in the media and towards politicians.
